How do I set the clock?

Q: 2000 Ford Windstar front windshield wiper still operates in the off position?
I have a 2000 Ford Windstar SEL and when I turn on the front wiper it only works when you turn it all the way and then it does not stop in the off position.....in order for it to stop I have to switch off the vehicle....need your help please!
A: I agree that you may have a faulty switch.. One question I would ask you is; when you put it in the off position are you giving it enough time to stop. Some systems have a slight delay time after they are turned off. If it continues to run, then it is surely something within your ignition and control switch..
Your wiper relay could also be sticking, not common, but possible. I thought of this because you explained that you have to turn your ignition off to stop it.. Check that relay as well..
Q: I have a 99 ford windstar tranny manufactory malfunction code?
I have a 99 ford windstar in which i replaced the torque converter because the odb light keeps blinking. Now it started to do it again. What else could be the problem?
A: what code does it have there are many tcc related codes some are performance related some are electrical, there is no way to tell without code should be a P code.
Q: what can make a battery go dead other than a alternator on a ford windstar?
My battery on my ford windstar keeps dieing while i'm driving .The battery is brand new and i've been told it's not the alternator
The battery is only one day old i have checked the terminal.The battery goes dead while i'm driving the lights andevverything will stop working.Afte it cuts off it will not do anything else.It wont even turn over.
Somebody said it could be the starter is that possible?

Q: What would cause the passenger power sliding door on my 2001 ford windstar limited to stop working?
We have a 2001 Ford Windstar limited. The power sliding door on the passengers side stopped working by key fob, button, and power assist when opening with the handle. This is only a problem with the door on one side. It will open a little everynow and then when using the buttons up front or the buttons for the passenger. It gets about 6 inches open and stops. It also doesn't even sound like it's trying.
Any thoughts?
A: Sounds like either the power motor is bad/going bad, or possibly has a short in the door motor's harness... Not really a big deal, get it looked at... won't be too expensive.
Q: How do I fix the power windows in my Ford Windstar?
For about two years the power windows in my Ford Windstar haven't worked. I've looked at the fuses both under the steering wheel and in the engine compartment. The one under the steering wheel compartment is not blown, and the one in the engine compartment has been changed, and still won't work. When I try to roll the windows down, there are two clicking noises heard, I'm not sure what that means, any help is welcome.
A: IF YOU ARE HEARING A NOISE WHEN YOU ACTIVATE THE SWITCH THEN THE SWITCH IS PROBABLY OK. ODDS ARE IT IS THE MOTOR. FORD WINDOW MOTORS HAVE THREE SMALL ROUND PLASTIC PARTS INSIDE THAT OVER TIME GET BRITTLE AND START TO CRUMBLE WHICH MAKES THE MOTOR INOPERABLE.. YOU CAN BUY THESE PARTS BUT UNLESS YOU ARE VERY MECHANICAL MINDED YOU WOULD NEVER BE ABLE TO INSTALL THEM SO YOU CAN BUY REPLACEMENT MOTORS FROM A PARTS HOUSE OR TAKE IT TO A BODY SHOP AND HAVE THEM HANDLE THE REPAIR.
Q: What is the flat rate time for doing head gaskets on a 1998 Ford Windstar with a 3.8 engine?
I have a 1998 Ford Windstar that has a head gasket leaking and a shop quoted 1000.00 labor and they charge 70.00 per hour, am I getting ripped off, or is that standard. If you could give me an answer on the flat rate time, I could figure it out.
A: well it would take between 10-12 hours to do the job, so, maybe not, if only one guy working on it..so is in the ball park with price.

I just bought a 1996 Ford Windstar Minivan. I am just wondering what anyone can tell me about the vehicle, any opinions good or bad I am just wondering. We bought it for cheap and it needs a little fixing up. It seems like a good ride, but I am just wondering what I should know about it.
A: I've put over 200,000 miles on mine and I still love driving it. It's one of the only vehicles I've driven that doesn't give me a headache; also, the sight-lines are good for watching the traffic around me.
The only problem I've had with it is that with use the seatbelt gets twisted and jams up inside the retractor, so occasionally I have to pull it all the way out and straighten it out again.
My son has has had two accidents in it and both times my husband was able to repair it--and my Windstar just keeps on purring. Even with a couple of rust spots, I want to hang on to it as long as possible!

Will a Ford Taurus transmission fit into a Ford Windstar? Is the transmission the same if the part is the same year?
A: Both posts stating or implying the Taurus is a rear-wheel-drive are incorrect. Don't know what year Taurus or Windstar you are referring to, but I know the Windstars from model years 1995 to 2000, used the AX4S transaxle. Model years 2001 to 2003 Windstars used the AX4N. Tauruses however used BOTH from 1996 to current. It may BOLT in. Whether or not, there are internal differences, I don't know, or at the VERY least, I'm not sure. You are better off searching for a unit that came from an identical model year and vehicle if you're not sure.

I need to replace the tie rod ends on my 1996 Ford Windstar GL mini-van. Is there anyone who might know of a online site that might give me the step by step procedure of how to do this project. I'm aware of the fact that the van will have to get an alignment afterwards, but I still need to know how to do the tie rod ends.

Q: What is the cause of a 1997 Ford Windstar stalling during the warm-up period.?
I have a 1997 Ford Windstar that stalls during the morning when I first start up for 5-10 minutes or so. It has a 3.8 L engine. I just had the engine rebuilt and it didn't do this before the rebuild. If I have the radio on there is a click on the radio when it stalls. Sometimes when it stalls, the radio, after a delay, goes out for a 20-60 seconds and then comes back on. The rebuild was initiated when I had a leaky head gasket on the No. 1 cylinder. Now runs really smooth except for the problem. I feel there is some power loss though at times, but am not sure about that.
A: I would look at the IAC valve as the probrable cause of failure, idle air control valve

Q: Help please? How much would it cost to replace sensors in the electrical control box for a 2000 Ford Windstar?
The sensors control the following switches: A/C, heater, odometer, speedometer. This front panel electrical problem is notorious in Ford Windstar vans made from the mid-1990s through the early 2000s. Thank you for your help!
A: Check with Auto Zone, Advance Auto, etc. first, to see if the one in your area can do a free analyzer check. I agree, they will have the best prices. For heavens' sake, don't go to a dealer. The analyzer should be able to specify which one it is. You may also want to check more than one place, for best price and accuracy.
